Bio
Cinematographer PÄIVI KETTUNEN is one of the first female members of F.S.C., Finnish Society of Cinematographers. Kettunen has photographed four feature fiction films, five documentary features, six television series and many short films.
Her last feature, the box office hit LADIES OF IRON, was EFA nominated for best comedy. She recently wrapped television series MY HUSBANDS WIFE which was shot both in Estonia and Finland. Television series AIKUISET was nomineed for best television comedy at Venla Awards in the Finnish Emmys. Kettunen won at the 2020 Red Rock Film Festival Special Achievement Award in Cinematography in a Documentary Feature THE OTHER SIDE OF MARS. Her short film TO RETURN UNTIL was premiered in Cannes film festivals Cinéfondation and THE LITTLE SNOW ANIMAL won several awards in international festivals including Palm Springs and was EFA nominated for best short film.
Kettunen has completed a master of art's degree in Cinematography at the Aalto University Helsinki. She is a mother of two and enjoys reading and outdoor activities. Kettunen has worked around the world from Sambia to Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California and from Maroccon wasteland to Tokio.
